Europe-wide threat to the bull terrier
FURTHER to your article by Alex Renton (And the nominations for daftest candidate are, 29 May), please note that the German parliament has recently passed breed-specific legislation and the Staffordshire bull terrier, among other breeds, has been placed on Section One of this legislation. Therefore, Staffordshire bull terriers are currently being persecuted and effectively "phased out" along with the bull terrier and other breeds. You will appreciate that this issue is very serious and has wide-ranging consequences for dog owners both in Germany and the UK.
